Jung Se Ro (Yoon Kye Sang) lost his father and his life was destroyed by a murder case in Thailand which also involved stolen diamonds. After that incident, Se Ro lives his life as a swindler. Park Kang Jae (Jo Jin Woong) is his partner in crime and they are close like brothers. Se Ro then falls in love with Han Young Won (Han Ji Hye) whose her fiance died because of Jung Se Ro.

While most episodes were shot in Japan, one of the episodes in series two was shot in Latvia. The TV series is based on the novel Saka no ue no kumo by Ryōtarō Shiba and adopted by Hisashi Nozawa.The theme song of the drama series is titled "Stand Alone". It was composed by Joe Hisaishi, written by Kundo Koyama and performed by British soprano singer Sarah Brightman.

A day following workers at an airport

In defiance of all the laws of physics Mr. Tau is walking on the wing of an aircraft flying close to Prague. Young Alenka is enthusiastic, but the other passengers are horrified. The security inspector Málek believes the report from the crew to be a code alerting him to a hijack, and orders an emergency landing. In the confusion at the airport the fairytale Mr. Tau disappears into one of the halls.
